Tesham evanukampartham aham ajnana-jam tamah, nashayamy atma-bhavastho jnana-dipena bhasvata

Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling within their hearts, destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the luminous lamp of knowledge.

If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst forth simultaneously in the sky, that might resemble the splendor of that mighty being.

Jyotisham api taj jyotis tamasah param ucyate, jnanam jneyam jnana-gamyam hridi sarvasya vishthitam

That Brahman is the light of all lights and is said to be beyond darkness. It is knowledge, the object of knowledge, and the goal of knowledge. It is situated in the hearts of all. Brahman is the self-luminous reality that illumines all existence.
